Description
Elements are a key part of DragonVale World. They are used in breeding, gathering, and habitats. There are 15 elements in total: seven primary elements and eight epic elements.

Breeding

Elements determine which egg will result. By breeding dragons with different elements, the result will be a hybrid dragon or an epic dragon.
Dragonsai or gem Dragons cannot be bred. They are obtained only as gifts players earn from each 20 consecutive days of play or bought for 50 USD. At the end of 20 days of play, players chose which gem dragon they want from the choices offered.
Habitats

Dragons can only live in habitats that share the same elements as them. For example, a Fire Dragon can only live in a Fire Habitat, whereas a Wildfire Dragon can live in either a Fire Habitat Habitat or an Jungle Habitat.
Gathering

Dragons can be sent out on mission to gather special supplies for the Arcane Airship. Each gatherable requires a combination of elements and only dragons that match the criteria for them can be sent out.
Notes
- Prior to August 5th 2016, Cavern and Desert element dragons existed in DragonVale World.
